Dear all our supporters,

 

Well we made it and here we are in front of the faithful bluebird, medals to prove that we did it.

 

The final mileage from site office door to door Widnes to Nice (via a few little hills) was 2,222 miles and we did not make it up the clock does not lie.

 

We had a great time the three moustache road warriors, but it has been even more worth its will by the great support and encouragement we have had from you all. The money is still rolling in for the charity which is we think going to be an awesome £1000.

 

We again thank you all but we have to mention a few by name as they did shape our trip at as we went around: - Edward “the mechanic” (all though only 12 he did all the work and the car made it), Tracey the “wordsmith” (the words may have been prolific but the organiser thought they were worth a mention !!!) and Kevin + family “Italian Job film experts” (saved our skin under fire when our brains were fried)

We made it back, 02:50

Luckily the security guard was on hand to record the mamouth journey!

We made it 21:25 ferry

We are so chuffed with the car - 11hours Nice-Calais (770 miles)

We found the worlds biggest bin bag

Boredom really has set in! Even i-spy broke out into an argument over how to spell kurb stone!

The Road Warriors return to find a dogs wee'd on the car.... The audacity!

Spirits are high, maths not too impressed with the minature coffee though!

Partying in Nice....

On the beach front at 01:00, the two pictures show Nice by night and Martin & Steve on the beach. Just two minutes before if Mathew had, had his camera ready he would have caught both Martin and Steve attempting to cut some moves with the “All Night Beach Ravers” Drum and Bass.. nice!

Sadly Departed

Thought we would post these, firstly because Mathew was accused by Martin and Steve over the last few days for not once breaking a smile and to inform you all that the Moustaches have indeed left now to open a bar in Nice.

 

 

The Awards Ceremony

The Road warriors sadly were not presented with any special awards except for the finish medal, which each is very proud of.

 

However, Team 15 “The Road Warriors” did get a special mention for day one’s challenge (Making 30 words from two champagne bottle label titles), for both cleverness and intellect….. not sadly, it was actually for 3 or 4 letter words of a rude nature….. Its safe to say they switched off the work brain!!! Well Mathew and Steve did anyway…. only joking…. So did Martin!

Making Our Way to the Awards Ceremony

After a fantastic day of driving through Italy and France, the three road warriors had a quick shower and made there way to the awards ceremony in the centre of Nice.

Sadly the end of the crumball Rally, we made it to Nice.

 

Unfortunately for the moustaches this is where we part company, I believe the three of them are off to open a bar on the beach.

 

However, there will be more of our journey home tomorrow and of the evenings events.
